Quench and Blossom: A Revolutionary Office Design

Leo Lin's Award-Winning Design Reflects the Innovation and Spirit of Taiwan's Leading Lighting Brand

The design of Quench and Blossom is a unique representation of the brand's innovative narrative. The entrance counter, designed to mimic an anvil, echoes the initial of the corporate logo, while the spark from metalwork is symbolized in the interior's lighting design. This extends to a world-map light-box, depicting the brand's global vision.

Quench and Blossom is a unique blend of glass, marble, and carpet, spread over 776.9 square meters. The design elements, including glass partitions, transparency, and diamond cut marble, are a testament to the brand's identity. The office design also features a unique layout, challenging the conventional office structure in Taiwan.

The design project, completed in May 2018 in Taipei City, Taiwan, aimed to consolidate the scattered departments over four floors onto the same floor. The glass-wall offices of each department head are aligned with their departments, optimizing both vertical and horizontal communication efficiency.

One of the main challenges faced by the design team was articulating the brand essence through the design of the headquarter office. The entrance reception counter was designed to resonate directly with the brand, resulting in creative concepts and expressions that were satisfactory to the corporate client.

Quench and Blossom is not just an office design; it's a vivid expression of rational and rhythmic spatiality. The open-plan staff working area, glass-box-like meeting rooms, and system storage for office equipment and consumables ensure working efficiency while preserving visual openness and privacy.
